The 29th Annual Global Citizen Award is celebrating the theme of “In It Together”, recognizing inspiring Saskatchewan people working towards global citizenship, global cooperation, justice and peace.

Join us in Regina as we celebrate the contributions of these amazing Saskatchewan people:
– Rhonda Rosenberg
– Cheryl Stadnichuk
– Kyla Wendell McIntyre
(see bio excerpts below!)

Free, delicious appetizers from Chef Milton of Skye Cafe & Bistro. This event is FREE. RSVPs are not mandatory (but appreciated): scic@earthbeat.sk.ca or 306.757.4669.

This year, celebrations will offer a chance to recharge and remember that we are all “in it together” – this planet; this community; this work to achieve dignity, justice and peace for all.

The awards will spotlight work that is based on shared goals and values, mutual respect, solidarity and our shared responsibility as global citizens..

CHERYL STADNICHUK
Cheryl grew up in Guernsey, SK, and has been passionate about international and social justice issues since high school. Cheryl was one of the many Tools for Peace activists in the mid-80s who paired with farmers, church activists and health activists to conduct educational workshops around the province about Nicaragua.

Since 1996, Cheryl has been the researcher for CUPE Saskatchewan, and has been acting in an advisory role for their Global Justice Committee for most of the last 15 years. Her insightful analysis has made her an invaluable resource for Saskatchewan and Canadian trade unions and NGOs seeking to deepen their relationships and engagement with similar groups in the global south.
