Heritage Saskatchewan’s Facilitated Session and Luncheon

February 23, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Plan to attend our morning session where delegates will participate in the KAIROS blanket exercise (a teaching tool to share the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada). This will be followed by an information session about Wanuskewin Heritage Park, where you will find out what it means for Wanuskewin to be added to Canada’s World Heritage shortlist and why it matters. The luncheon program will feature a presentation from Wanuskewin Heritage Park to find out about the work that its dynamic and engaged team of community leaders and volunteers have been doing to raise money, elevate its profile and its engagement in a multi-faceted renewal project called Thundering Ahead. Learn about the importance of community partnerships, volunteer engagement and government relations in heritage conservation.
