SUMMARY:Regina Spanish Influenza Memorial Unveiling
DESCRIPTION:Throughout 2017 I have worked with various groups and organizations throughout the city to raise money for a memorial for Regina’s 330 Spanish Influenza victims. \nOn December 14th at 3pm we will be unveiling a memorial in honour of those 330 victims at the Regina Cemetery\, near the graves of several unmarked victims. \nWhen the Spanish Flu arrived in 1918\, the city put in a ban on public gatherings to prevent the spread of the flu. Many of the people were never able to say goodbye to their loved ones.
