DESCRIPTION:Revisit Regina: The Architectural Heritage of Storey and Van Egmond.\nRegistered: 75\nRPL Film Theatre\nMonday\, October 23rd\n7:00-8:30 PM\nRevisit Regina in 1930 with long-time Regina resident Don Black for a presentation of photographs documenting the work of the architectural firm of Storey and Van Egmond. Between 1905 and 1930 the firm designed most of Regina’s significant pre-WWII buildings including:\n•         Most of the fine old homes in Lakeview and along College Avenue;\n•         Most of the city’s early apartment blocks;\n•         Most of Regina’s warehouses and factories;\n•         Schools\, hospitals\, churches\, and other public buildings.\nThe firm’s project list is long and a great many instantly-recognizable buildings still stand are still contributing to the economy of the city.  The photographs used in the presentation were contained in two albums put together in 1930 and used by the firm as a source of documentation and\, probably\, sales promotion.
