SUMMARY:100 Years of Remembrance: Regina’s Legion Branch 001
DESCRIPTION:This November\, Heritage Regina hosts Royal United Service Institute (RUSI) Executive Director and Chief Historian Kelsey M. Lonie for an evening celebrating the century-long legacy of the Regina Legion Branch 001.\nThis is your opportunity to learn about the history of the Legion as Kelsey guides you through the amazing collection of artifacts located in the branch’s museum.\n\nThis event is free to the public\, though a suggested donation of $10 is encouraged to help support Heritage Regina’s educational programming.\n\nAbout the speaker:\nKelsey Lonie (BEd\, MA History) was raised on a cattle ranch in southern Saskatchewan\, a setting that fostered her passion for the history of this province and the women who helped shape it. After nearly a decade as a classroom educator\, she is now the Regimental Historian for the Royal Regina Rifles and the Executive Director and Chief Historian of RUSI Regina. Kelsey sits on the board of directors for the Organization of Military Museums Canada (OMMC) and acts as editor of its quarterly Bulletin.
