DESCRIPTION:From Brad Taylor\, JCK Engineering\, Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals: \nI am very pleased to announce that the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals has established a Prairie Chapter\, and that we will be holding our first events this fall. \nBeing that we are a Chapter that is spread out over three Provinces and one Territory we understand that connecting as one large group will be a bit of a challenge. We are working on planning one central event; however\, we thought it would be great to have some micro events that will help connect people. The attached poster details events that are happening in Winnipeg\, Regina\, and Calgary. We hope to do this again in the next few months for Saskatoon and Edmonton as well. \nOn September 14th there is a new exhibit opening at the Mackenzie Art Gallery – Spring on the Prairie: Kiyoshi Izumi and the work of Izumi Arnott and Sugiyama. We thought this would be a great opportunity to learn a bit about one aspect of built heritage in Saskatchewan. Plan to meet at 7:00 in the lobby of the art gallery. Regular admission is $12. \nSpring on the Prairie: Kiyoshi Izumi and the work of Izumi Arnott and Sugiyama | MacKenzie Art Gallery \nAfter that\, we will head over to the patio at Bar Willow. The reservation is for 8:30. Come mingle\, order some drinks or some food\, and enjoy a great night on Regina’s best patio. At some point I will talk a little about the Prairie Chapter\, and the National Association. \nPlease feel free to pass this onto people you know who may be interested\, and feel free to bring your partner\, a friend\, or an unsuspecting young person who needs to hear about heritage.
